We have been included in the ‘We’re Smart Green Guide‘, a prestigious guide to the best sustainable restaurants in the world. Created to promote conscious and healthy eating, this guide focuses on rewarding those establishments that prioritize the use of fresh, local, and plant-based ingredients, thus reducing the environmental impact and following a gastronomic philosophy that respects the environment and promotes health.
This year, València has incorporated eight new restaurants, including Ma Khin, further consolidating our commitment to sustainability, which is based on the incorporation of local products, fresh vegetables, and environmentally friendly practices. Fierro, Lienzo, Casa Montaña, La Barraca de Toni Montoliu, Simposio, Félix Chaqués, and 2 Estaciones are also joining the guide.
Our inclusion in the ‘We’re Smart Green Guide‘ also coincides with our registration in the Valencian Registry of Socially Responsible Entities, an official recognition by the government of the Valencian Community to those companies, organizations, or entities that carry out their activities with a clear commitment to social responsibility. This registry aims to promote, make visible, and encourage corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices in the region, which implies that entities behave ethically in areas such as environmental sustainability, equal opportunities, fair working conditions, respect for human rights, and transparency in their practices, while also contributing to the economic and social development of the community. By joining this registry, we publicly demonstrate our commitment to these values, and thus obtain a series of benefits such as social recognition, opportunities for access to public incentives, and the possibility of participating in activities or programs that promote responsible practices.
Commitment to sustainability
These recognitions are no coincidence, as at Ma Khin we have always been committed to sustainability as one of our fundamental pillars, working with local farmers and producers who guarantee the use of fresh, seasonal and responsibly grown products. This practice not only reduces the carbon footprint associated with food transportation but strengthens the local economy, fostering a fairer and more equitable food system.
Sustainability guides all of our actions, always in line with the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. This is reflected in each member of the Ma Khin team, as we have always strived to create a space that embraces inclusion and diversity, attracting talents that share our values.
After all, our concept is rooted in the embrace of different cultures, but also in taking care of everything that surrounds us, whether it is the environment or the people who cross our path
